You're right. He went downhill even before that.

And before the fanboys jump and attack: I think Blue fear is very good, but he hasn't delivered anything coming close afterwards. Hence: going downhill.

i forgot i had this EM, thanks for remindin me, A Timless Classic!

I remember being in the IRC channel while this thing was transmitting, kids were upset that the tracklist was published before the mix even finished playing, some were complaining that he was playing it too safe by playing tried and tested tunes rather than the new stuff he was playing on ASOT at the time.

When all this was happing people were acting like it was just another ho hum dj set, I wonder when they decided it was a classic. At least he didn't play prog like so many other EM's.

I haven't listened to an EM broadcast in a long time.

I want this.

I'd also love the cd.

But in any case, I at least want the EM.

armin's 8 hour set at the hague blows this EM out of the water

but it is true - armin has gone downhill - very quickly - since this EM

amen to that, thats a brilliant mix, great selection of tunes.

yep that armin mix wasnt bad either, nice touch to play point zero at the end

How different does Armin play now? Absolutly no tech-trance in that EM at all. Also very little "floaty armin" trance either. How times change. When he plays that style hes one of the best. Its a pity hes became and anthembasher and "number 1 DJ Mag" chaser. Maybe hel go bak eventually

I will say that that essential mix is very good.

Unfortunatly, IMO, that was the last decent thing Armin did :( He went downhill after that :(

i liked the hour long set he had on the EM (2004 i think) better than the one from 2003. there were some good tunes on the 2003 set but, imo, too many tunes i didn't like and, retrospectively, i'm sick of hearing most of the good tunes by now

lol, i remember on TA people complaining about the tracklist being posted when i was listening to it

but i definately agree, no airy armin trance in this set

this is actually one of my favourite EMs, and probably my favourite Armin set.

Oh, and the other unknown is Questia - Nexus Asia... one of the best tunes from 2003, IMHO.

Yeah, i'm a fan of this one too. good set.

Andy Hunter's "Amazing" is still one of my fav tracks.
