Damn this is the day of chokes. South Carolina couldn't get it done, Minnesota couldn't get it done.
at least UCLA battled to the end with Northwestern and won. Miami isn't looking too hot against the Tigers.
And by default both Dave and I have to hate UVA. We're Tech fans first and foremost :p |

Damn, Da U got rocked by LSU tonight. 40-3! even though this means I lost another bowl game in my office pool, I'm secretly pleased and happy. :p
So what happened at the end of the game? some sort of scuffle in the tunnel? i caught the tailend of sportscenter. some LSU players and Miami players were escorted out of the Georgiadome?
hmm ill find out on ESPN.com later. |

I know, I know...my Virginia fandom is a short story so ill tell it.
Way back in the spring of 2002, I got NCAA 2002 for PS2. My friend Sean and I decided to do a dynasty, and instead of picking Ohio State or one of the big schools, we decided to take a middle-tier school and try to put them up with the big dogs. Virginia, ranked #24 that year seemed like a strong candidate, so we chose them and simulated their first season.
The team played like a charm. On total simulation, the Cavaliers went 10-1 (losing only on the road to Florida State) and finishing #4 in the country. Recruits started pouring in, including a quarterback from Columbus, Ohio named Roland Cody. Cody would go on to be a 4-year starter, winning 3 Heisman's and only losing once in his collegiate career, a 21-18 loss to Texas in the National Championship his junior year. He won two titles and was one of the best quarterbacks I've ever had on NCAA games.
Eventually, we moved on to sim Ohio State, but I never forgot that awesome Virginia team. That was my first experience with a NCAA dynasty. |

So in conclusion, you like UVA because of a video game? :wtf:
uh, well. Good.
Actually that's cool. I know how you can build a rapport with a game, especially sports games where you have a certain affection for a team, you watch it mature and age and you fine-tune and care for it. Eventually you reach the pinnacle of your career and your whole life is changed forever.
That's why, after playing Super Mario Bros for countless hours when i was little, I am now attending plumber school and I'm going to be a plumber. |

what happened between miami and lsu was a low down dirty shame .
i was listening to sports radio the other day, and what i think they said is true.
they were talking about the miami-lsu brawl, and the guys were talking about how miami is showing a sense of frustration and anger not only by the loss, but also the loss of their swagger, elite status in college football, low marks in their recruiting status, and basically not drawing a bigger fan base now.
compared to usc, usc is selling out 60 000 seats every home game, has elite status in football, and drawing the big name celebreties, such as snoop dogg, alyssa milano, and etc ... they consider usc the party school at the moment .. you know why ? they are winning games, and earning championships .. not miami ..
usc is the winning championships .. miami is earning front page status as the thug school with all these stories that are happening the past couple of months . very depressing , for the UofM fans ..
in other news, classic sports right now is showing the 1998 rose bowl between washington state and michigan .. quarterback for wsu is ryan leaf !! the glory days !! woo hooo!! |

Icould have locked up my office pool on NYE with an Iowa State win but they let TCU get that late field goal. I can lock it up with
A Wisconsin win over Auburn
An Alabama win over Texas Tech
or
A Texas win over USC
I think the Crimson Tide is my best chance to win it. I wasn't thinking when I took Wisconsin (though I still think they can win it) and Texas is at best a 45% chance to win. |

seriously though u guys know how i feel about our schools perception by the media by now,so i wont sound like a brokeen record.
anyways dont get to angry at our behavior , the fact is a good ol Luisiana team beat up on a team called the Hurricanes.yay irony and revenge somewhat. |
