| ok , in my research paper on pvd about one page of it is telling the history of trance and explaining what trance is to my audience. How would you explain what trance is to someone who has never heard it before, the sound , the emotions, etc. Any help would be much appreciated, give me some ideas to use in my paper. |

trance ( P ) Pronunciation Key (trns)
n.
1. A hypnotic, cataleptic, or ecstatic state.
2. Detachment from one's physical surroundings, as in contemplation or daydreaming.
3. A semiconscious state, as between sleeping and waking; a daze.
haha, no but seriously, you could talk about bpm and how it differs from different genres (house is slower, dnb faster, etc). also, the main thing that comes to my mind when talking about trance is the melodic aspect of it. airey breakdowns, buildups, stuff that more mainstream songs lack...hope this helps a little! :) |
