I have two questions about them:
1) Someone told me that they were forced by the label to do the perception vocals and that Cass & Slide hate it.
Is it true? Does anybody know?
2) Cass & Slide were once a goa/psy producers.
Does anyone know any good tracks from them in that style?

not sure about either questions but i wouldnt be surprised if either rumors were true. personally i like both vocal and non vocal mix of Perception but the vocals do overpower the intensity of the melody/buildup. and for tracks by them that are goaish.... try:

The question wasn't wether or not they once were goa/psy-producers, he stated that as a fact :p |

About the second question:
Cass & Slide first met each other when they both worked at the psy-label Flying Rhino. Their first productions/remixes were psy-influenced progressive, some good ones would be Mephisto's Child (including the remixes) and their remixes of Bus - Bullet, Astral Projection - Liquid Sun and Atmos - Klein Aber Doctor. For more "pure" psy stuff, check out some of Slide's solo works. He released a full album, Unstable, which is pretty good. Some good tunes to check out are "Saturnalia", "Unstable", "Alien Hitmen" and "Closure". If you want some even better stuff check out UX - Ultimate Experience, who is Slide together with Kris Kylven. Some of the best and most crazy psy out there. |
