yay, finally! too bad though that the music costs 1 dollar more when downloaded :/

And the files are huge! and downloading them takes forever...I'm downloading a song to see if the sound quality is really all that different from a 320 Kbps MP3. Now that i've downloaded hundreds of MP3s since I got my CDJs, now they offer WAV downloads...

Ok I downloaded one of my current favorites "Snowflakes (Allende Remix)" by Kris O'Neil and I do hear a slight difference with the WAV vs. 320 Kbps MP3, but it's not that huge of a difference really. I can hear some of the highs being a little clearer but besides that, don't think it's worth always downloading tunes on WAV, only my most favorites would be worth the extra dollar and the extra hard drive space they take up...

what does a song come out to file size wise... in general like a 6 or 8 min song. probably like 120 mb or something, no?
Spirit5
Well the song I downloaded came out to 83.1 MB, vs. 18.8 for the MP3, that's a huge difference for something that with my ears at least..doesn't sound THAT much different. If you wanted a big collection of WAV files, you should probably invest in some large hard drive space or an external hard drive, like 300 GB, because even though my drives are around 140 GB each, if I had downloaded a bunch of WAV files i'de have hardly any hard drive space left for anything else...

One thing I do notice, which is nice, and i'll have to test it out on my CDJs and PAs later, is that the WAV files do appear to be slightly louder than the MP3s. My biggest issue is that when I play my MP3 CDs of my tunes in my car or on my PAs they don't sound as loud as standard CDs. So i'll test it out later and i'll hear for myself if this is true..

good idea.

now it really is the equivalent of an audio cd, no compromises.

Good. Finally the doubters of buying lossless stuff will see the future and use paid download stores.

But it sucks because I downloaded 200 files from Beatport since July when I bought my CDJs. I really wish they would offer their customers the option of redownloading all the files from MP3 into WAV, but I guess I can use alot of the MP3s I do have as files I can just listen to and mix with on MixMeister for fun (only works with MP3 and WMA anyways) and use WAV files for mixing on CDJs. Just don't want all that $$$ i've spent going to waste....hopefully AudioJelly will be next offering WAV downloads because they have a really nice selection as far as Trance and Prog, and they tend to recieve more new releases and promos than Beatport does...perhaps there is really a difference, you just have to test it out some on different audio systems to tell. I just can't tell on my computer speakers...

WAV vs. FLAC???

192kbps is good enough for me! But 320kbps is ok too!

320 kbps is around 4 : 1 ratio of original wave file size, so for example a 100mb wave file would only be 25mb in 320kbps mp3
