I used a program like that back in the day to control my horrendously loud Globalwin FOP38 over top of an Athlon 1400 Tbird core @ 1790MHz. It worked well enough, but I got tired of it going louder and softer every 5 seconds.
I now have a hardware controller physically in my PC that I can control fan speed with via a dial. |

Yes sir its called Q-FAN CONTROL
I would not rely on 3rd party programs to manipulate the cooling control of my system!!! |

Yup, it probabaly does.
Look into MBM 5 (Motherboard Monitor) google. Way better. |
