Hello,
It took me some time but I finally finished a Progressive/Melodic Trance in Marco V's style.

So check it out and tell me what you think :)

Gil Shwartz - Closer To God (Original Mix)

This is wicked stuff:)
I love Marco V and this song is definitely his style. The only problem i could find is that sometimes this sounds a bit too much like him, specially his remix of Liquid Dj Team - Liquidation. But it's good work Gil, keep it up:)

Peace

Two things, I'd like to check it out, but 2.8K/sec is painful (T1 here).

Second, I'm sure you've been asked and you've posted this before, but what do you use for your productions? Hardware, software, details if you don't mind. ;)

The servers are alittle slow now coz there are alot of people downloading from them so just be patient :)

I'm using Reason 1.0 as software, Fender Guitar with pedals, Nord Rack, Lead 1 & 2, Gemini Sampler and Korg Amp.

Newby question that maybe you could answer. You use Reason, is Cubase another Reason type application (meaning use one or the other) or would you use a combination of the two. If one or the other, from what you know or have read/heard, why would you choose one over the other (or is it all just personal preference). Secondly, if a combination of the two, is it because one is superior to the other in a certian area, or they both have functions that are useful but not available in both programs?

Yes I'm lazy and I could probably go and read a whole bunch and figure this out, but I like to hear from those that use it more than someone who wrote a manual.
Gil Shwarts
Well I never used CuBase before so I don't know if I can answer you but I have friends who use it and it sounds just the same when it comes to sound quality...

you have an actual setup nowadays Gil? So can you sequence those synths with reason or do you have to use ReWire with Cubase?

tw1tch: Reason is kinda an all in one music making program, Cubase is for use with external gear. Or nowadays VSTi's and DXi's.

Downloading now. I LOVE marco V.
