Hmm.....doesn't Capoeira require a slower beat than trance to spar/fight (or whatever the term is) to?
I got interested in it after seeing the french guy in Ocean's 12 do it. Then I got "Only the Strong", a movie about Capoeira. Looks incredibly awesome, and would be great for applying to sick break dancing movies, but I think it would take too long to learn for me to stay interested.
But every time I listen to Nikkfurie - Teh a la Menthe I get pumped about it again. Can you actually do it/fight someone? Gotta be so in shape for that... |

| 'Only the Strong' was the movie that introduced me to capoeira. I also remember choosing Eddie Gordo in Tekken 3 for Playstation. Me and my roomate used to have many, many battles......Good Times!!! |

| in capoeira your oponent is your friend dont try to beat the hell your friend, in capoeira the legs are used more to atack everyone can punch, and in brazil there is a very old saying "the hands are for bilding things and the legs are to destroy" sounds more nice in portuguese...my frist contact with capoeira was with the game tekken3 too, but I tought that it was just a game...some time after I got to know that it was possible to do that and more when I went to see capoeira at a academy, there I saw the master flying REALLY FLYING and it just got my soul I started tryning and I still do it now ....for trance addicts I think trance reagge and capoeira are connected, if u like it start trying and if u dont stop i promise u that u gonna get really good but it take some years of course! |
