Hmm quick review... it was only James' third time using the DJM-800 as a midi controller and he actually apologised to the crowd at the end of his set as he thought that it was a bit shakey. Everyone pretty much just responded with a "pfft it was awesome". I've gotta say that the set started out a little too minimal for me, but the second half of it got very enjoyable.
The worst part of the night was the bunch of s in attendance. There was a big group of friends who were all 'snobby' rich mexicans who couldn't give a toss about anyone else at the event. Pushing, shoving, just being obnoxious and disregarding anyone but themselves... came close to getting in a fight with one of them. Joel pwnd him... and lucky he backed off cos the guy would have gotten what was coming to him had Joel unleashed his fists of fury. lmao. So yeah, crowd was shit.
The end was nice, Joel and I got a photo with JZ and exchanged a few words with him. He's a champion. I wish I could have the chance to spend more time talking with him sometime.
Got a few pics and some videos which will probably be too dark. Will report back with those soon. |

| OMG ! i totally agree with you!!! those guys and that one girl in the white jacket were totally annoying they kept bugging poor james while he was trying to do his thing!! yeah bery pushy and shovy!!! arg!!! |

| :haha: ..Well i think i saw that one guy get escorted out by toddy?? right infront of me..kinda fit the description/..but after the tequila kicked in i kinda starded moving :tongue3 , was pretty chill with the first half like our other TA friend here said but I completely agree, the second half just exploded.- Was my first time seeing him and i got to get an autograph aswell & pic. Was really happy for that. / Hmm..about the shoving..well i was in the back with a friend shoving him only and..i'll exclude my self from being one of the "snobby" mexicans..:rolleyes:-:D . Well there were alot of guys..but some girls were to be spotted, saw an old friend of mine since 'Carlos&charlies Wetgrooves' so that was refreshing...aswell as a few other #'s :happy2: - Over all im glad i saw Ryan again, Joe..and one other guy i met towards the dj booth i cant member name..sorry :(, thanx for taking our picture tho.:)ah yes..met Lance aswell. btw..did James Z play James Holden track?..i swear i heard it towards the end. Anyhow..im Extreamly late for work so ill see you all at the next event. ciao. |

Yeah who was the douchebag that stayed at the front the whole time putting his hands in James' face? He hit his laptop a number of times too. Then he kept throwing his pen and flyer in his face too--quite annoying. He was clearly ed up.
Other than that, I had a great time hanging with Lance and Blake throughout the night. I wasn't much in a dancing mood, but I did really enjoy the set. A lot more than last year's show with Infusion. Met some new friends and overall had a great time staying up to 3:30 on a Wednesday night. I totally didn't go to class today.
James was throwing down some phat ass basslines. They were killing me. And at the end where he was in' with Toddy's voice. That was pretty coo!
Awesome night, thanks again Lance for making it happen. Good seeing you again. Blow up Miami old man!

As Packa said JZ started off a little slow but the second half was absolutely bangin! I cant believe he appologized towards the end of the night. James you're awesome! Stay the same humble person you are. Come back and see us soon.
As for the girl in the white and her annoying b'f. They were both drunk as hell and they were being fkn annoying. The rest of us were having a hell of a time until that had to ruin it. He started telling Packer stuff and when I told him to back off he started to talk mess to me. Dude you dont mess with me or my friends especially when we're having a good time. All in all after the fkr left the night got back to normal. |

Oh tell me about it... they were all putting their hands in the booth, waving phones and flyers in his face and shit. Then after those fuckwits left, I rested my camera on the ledge in front of the booth to get some video of the action, and some chick told me that I was being rude!

rofl that was a pissa. I wish you had been successful in knocking the hat off that tosspot. I'd also have loved to see him try throwing a punch, and then get decked. |
