So I go to Best Buy to stand in line for the XBOX 360

because Best Buy's second shipment is going on sale tomorrow. I figure, with a little clever marketing, I can throw on up on ebay and make 3 hundred bucks on it just in time for christmas.
There are four BBs in the are so my co-worker and I pack a tent, some sleeping bags, a 100ft extesion cord, a power strip, a tv and a ps2 and head around the city. As we pull up to the first Best buy we see...No line! But just behind a grove of trees and a sleu of parked cars, 41 people sat, waiting for the XBOX 360. Thats nore than the number of systems they were getting, so we zip over the freeway to BB#2.
As we pull over the hill we see a tent or two, but as we get to the front, we see about 100 people waiting in line to buy 40 XBOXs. We quickly got out of there and called the two remaining stores. One guy said well over 50 people were waiting outside his, but our last hopes rested on one just minutes from my parents house.
We pull up, expecting pandemonium, but there was just several tents. A quick count showed a good number, but with a little luck, we hoped we could sneak in. We asked the last guy in line what number he was and he says, "i'm 31! There's one CORE system left." My co-worker and I had decided that we would settle for a core system, and that one of us would try to buy another person's place in line (approximate going rate 150-200 dollars). I open the car door when this soccer mom pulls in between us and the curb, jumps out and gets in line, screaming she gets the last system. A friend of hers had called and she was buying the system for her kids. As shes yelling all this, my one foot is out the door and the rest of me is just staring, thinking, ""
So, I lost out on the XBOX 360 and a quick 300 dollars. |

| I dont care for the system at all, but I do care for the profit that can be made on the system before christmas as crazy rich mommies and daddies just have to get junior that perfect gift he wanted and will play for three months before the P3 comes out. |

I didnt get a 64 till 2000 or so when I bought one myself, used from that awesome store on Shrock Road.
And I meant the reward you deserved for your behavior was in the price range of a 64...one year later :p |
