Thinking of picking up the B2031A monitors.. but does anyone know if they're magnetically shielded? I want to set them next to my computer monitor, but if they're not shielded then I don't know if they would be a good option for me.
Thanks in advance :)

That is so rubbish.. I have my monitors near my videocable/monitor, and it produces a "drrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr" sound every *ng time I move my mouse, or anything happens on the screen.. piece-o-crap.. |

That happens to me when I use the ASIO driver on my sound card, that could be your problem. |

Yeah this has nothing to do with the speakers, just a crappy soundcard |

They make the sound even though they are not connected to the soundcard.. ;):toocool: |

problems of humming could be because of bad soundcard, bad audio cables, bad power cables within the house.
I had a lot of problems with my audio too, humms and strange artifacts... all solves once I got goot audio cables 3 weeks ago.
Anyway the old behringers where pretty good, the new gen of truths aren't really interesting. |

Well, I'm not gonna steal this thread, but I know it is the VIDEO-CABLE that makes my behringer truths go
:eyespop: "brrrrr drrrrr wiii whooooooooop drrrrrrrrr" :eyespop:
I tested it at home, and to two friends, to check it was not the power within the house. It was not the audiocables, cause they were not plugged in (elimination-method), and therefore neither the soundcard.. But whenever there was activity on the screen, the monitors (Behringer) started

then either your screen produces excessive magnatic forces. Or your monitor are badly shielded, or you really just have them too close to your monitor.
edit: almost forgot, a better option is the power outlet. if your speakers are on the same power outlet as your monitor the monitors will get 'dirty power'.. A monitor causes pops and clicks in the power cables in your house. Best thing is to put the speakers on a totally different outlet as your computer screen or any other lighting kind of stuff. |

Well, they are pretty close to the screen.. But it's a LCD-screen :S
Anyway, they have always been granted their own outlets.
Dunno where the problem is. |
