If you post sets, you'll have to post reviews. It's not that much to ask, I don't think. If they're your own sets, you could create your own threads in the TOTA forum or the DJ forum. And don't post links to any copyrighted MP3s, as you listed in the post above. This isn't a pirating hub.

Sketch, I thought about that, and I think I might institute a guideline that we keep it to sets that are not your own. There is a DJ promo forum for that, plus you could create your own promp threads, I guess. Besides, that would make for some biased reviews of your own sets.

RJ...what do you think? Input? :thepirate

The guidelines as described are great:

1) A reasonable review must be provided with the set.

2) Sets should not be one's own, nor should they commercially available ($ mix CD, etc).

Awesome idea! This is going to be great. :toothless

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't those promo copies only for the intended recipient to review? Just wondering. But if so, get those ******s on a promo mix and make a thread so we can hear these slammin tracks that are hot off the press...errr, burn ;)

RJ, thanks for the comments! If anyone thinks the guidelines I'm putting forth are irrational in any manner, please let me know. I want this to be fun, and I want us to all get our mouse pointers on some bad ass legal music with more of a clue as to how good these sets are than simply viewing the filename in a Soulseek share. I've already chosen a couple nasty mixes for next week. I've got tons, I'm really digging in to find some DDTT and ass-shakin beats that the massive has yet to get their ears on.

A couple other things that have come to mind:
- I'll be creating a new thread for each week, with the Househead of the Week in the title.
- The first post will show the past postings (to avoid duplication) as well as the upcoming batting order.
- This is kind of in the works, but I'm thinking of requesting that non-group members refrain from active participation, such as posting in the threads. You'll obviously be able to download the sets, but I have it in mind that if you want to take part in reviewing, etc., that you should also post and review some sets.

Again, this is all in the early stages, and I don't want to seem like a hardnose. I'm not even sure how this will develop, and I don't want to agitate any of the masses, so it will be a work in progress. Just get ready for some beats! I'm gonna start it off with a bang! And a boom, tiss, boomboom, tiss! :thepirate

How can we share and post it up for DL or broadcast if it's a mix CD?

Oh, believe me, I do too, but I'd like to make sharing music a part of this, and sharing commerical media would be piracy, spelling out a fate of doom for this group.

Looks good.
