| tathi |
REAL/NICK NAME: Jake / tathi
DJ NAME: BASS_MONGER
MOST PLAYED GENRE: Hardstyle, Hardtrance, Hardhouse, Gabba
FAVE GENRE: A cerebral blend of intelligent hardstyle and progressive hardhouse
FAVE LOCAL DJ(S): Hellraiser, Jason Midro, Bexta
FAVE INTERNATIONAL DJ(S): LORD_OF_BASS
FAVE PRODUCER(S): LORD_OF_BASS
ALLTIME FAVE TRACK: XTC - That hard dance cheese anthem...yum!
MOST HATED TRACK: any House or Progressive tracks, they're boring, they're repetitive, they go nowhere, all sound exactly the same, and all smell like my toilet and taste like PKC's toothbrush
MOST OVERPLAYED TRACK: Delerium - Silence.
SETUP: 2GHZ Celeron and Winamps crossfader plugin
FIRST LIVE SET: Pharmacy @ ZOS
DJ HORROR STORY: I had to fill in for Midro who retreated into a K-hole (five minutes before he was due to start!) after Hellraiser tried to exorcise the evil spirits from his possessed body by giving him forty lashes using loulabells Cat o' 9 tails MK_II. Normally i would think 'fully sik' and start doing my pre-set ritual of 100 pushups so my guns would look all buff for the babes in the crowd. But the GBH was starting to rush through my system and i could barely mix after my pathetic effort of only ten pushups! Fortunately everyone thought the set was the "BEST OF 05!!!" and no one in the crowd noticed that i just set the hardstyle track in the CDJ on repeat. The next day everyone on the forums was praising my set using heaps of capitals and not just one, not just two, but three exclamation marks to emphasize how profoundly talented i am!!!
MOST MEMORABLE RAVE/CLUB EXPERIENCE: Normally the best rave experiences are the ones where i wake in a gutter beside the yarra river with no memory of what transpired during hte previous night. If i can't remember what happened it would have had to been good, right? Oh and the night when Josh van Aalst played his violin wearing _nothing_ but his mirror jacket was pretty damn hot!!!
WEBSITE: It will be up as soon as these guys finish writing my DJ Bio |
