Typical sunrise, always the hate monger.
Megapixel has become a marketing term more than anything else, its no good having 8.1MP of resolution, if the lens isn't ground to a high enough quality to focus to that resolution. There are other examples.
Its like processor speed of computers, marketing would have you believe processor speed is a direct measure of preformance, when there are many many other factors. |

Benny i used to do Digital cameras, sony (which i have had jolz :p ) are pretty crappy tbh, overpriced and the colours are always exaggerated, I recommend canon, pretty much any one in the range will be a great camera and they are typically made in japan to so the quality is great.
As Dave said, the whole "megapixel" thing is a bit of a farce. Even disregarding all the others factors once your res is over 3.2 the quality is only really evident when you enlarge them.
Id look at something around 4mg, made in japan with a good lens; ring trev when you know what model you want and he'll look after you ;) |
