There have been parties on weekdays at theguv. PVD came on a wednesday.

Hes playing a 3 hour set so it could be in theGuv. Other popular DJ's usually play in the main room. That doesnt really matter.
But I wouldnt mind if it happens in the Kool Haus if the Kool Haus is done up as it was on New YEars (unbelievable). After that party, I believe that place has a lot of potential (used to hate it before)

| wow my birthday.....too bad i hate armin's guts....well i dont mind him as a dj hes just a prick in real life....in homo bastard i cant believe ill be celebrating my brithday with a guy i dispise....damn...oh well.....hes still a good dj ill just go for the music |

I know, wednesday is usually a party night anyway in the city (Wednesdays @ Tonic, special events @ Guv, and so on), but Monday? Nah, I don't think so... I really don't remember a single party/rave being held on Monday. |

| I'd have to agree with fantom... Party on a Monday doesn't really make sense... I'd go with the date that is on www.arminvanbuuren.com . Also since Aria has confirmed him for the 12th, it only makes sense that he's in T.O. for the 13th... |

That was true in the past, before Guvernment spent millions renovating the Warehouse (KoolHaus). But nowadays, any time there is a big DJ coming in on a Saturday, they put them in Kool Haus so that they can make more money, it just makes sense that way.
Examples:
PVD (Feb.2001)
Bad Boy Bill
Tiesto
Deep Dish
And I think there were a few others as well. Generally, they will only put guest DJ's @ SPin.Saturday inside Guvernment if they aren't that popular (meaning they know they can't sell out the whole KoolHaus with just that DJ). The only exception to that might have been Ferry Corsten, but I think there were two reasons why he was a guest DJ @ Guv, and not inside kool haus. First, Benson & Hedges probably paid his fee since they were sponsoring the event, and secondly, Corsten is notorious for cancelling last minute, and I don't think Guvernment management would want a room of 3000 people pissed off if he didn't show. |

| honestly, had corsten not shown up at guv that time, i dont think he would get to play anywhere in north america after that... noone would sign him... good thing he showed up tho hehe... |

I don't know much about him personally, but at State01 he wouldn't sign the ticket I was giving him to autograph, he just made me stand there, and others came and he gave them his autograph I thought he was a prick for doing that......beats me why he did it....but he did it......I still like him as a DJ, but I would've liked to find out why he did that
and for the party, I have to say its crap time, I guess alot of other people might not agree, but everyone I know who would go has finals at that time of year.....so not a good time for him to come at all in my opinion |

I find that weird because he signed everything I threw at him. In fact he was signing countless autographs throughout his whole set for everyone that asked it seemed. He did make me wait until he wasn't busy before he signed, but he would always sign eventually.
How long did you wait before you gave up? The only thing I can think of is that maybe he thought you did/said something that pissed him off... |
