a weekend would be sick....maybe rent a chalet or something...lotsa snowboarding, lotsa drinking...and good toons.....lets look into this. i'll look up prices of chalets and what not the next couple of days... |

my friend kari snowboards, just been doing it since last winter pretty much, so shes getting better. i've never been but super want to go, so me and her are planning to. this would be wicked! i want to buy a board and boots, but no money for that yet lol.
time for some night rides on the slopes, the best times :D |

| Blue Mountain for a weekend sounds good. look up a cheap hotel ! Jamie know any? and Dan I used to help teach so the first few runs i can give you lessons! |

Don't waste your money on equipment now. You'll be looking at $500 for a decent beginner board, bindings, and boots. For that money, you can get something much better in the off season. Rent your first season until you get a feel for what you like.
IMO Alpine boards all the way. Still renting now though, can't wait to get one in March.
Blue mountain sounds sick. When would be a good time for everyone? Like end of Jan? |

Depending on how many ppl and whatever, for sure likley some of you can crash at my place. Plus im always up for pre/after snowing drinking sessions!!!
Drinking + skiing in same wkend = FUN FUN FUN
I dont stay at motels around here, but i can guess which would have hte cheapers rates.
I should be able to get names/numbers.

Im so down to go anywhere. I wanted to go today, but got stuck at home :(
Blue Mountain is definately the only place worth goin in southern ontario. the hills are still small, but better then anyplace local. Also, they actually have some variety in their runs, unlike most local places, which are all the same.
As far as best time to go? Jan or Feb for me would be perfect, preferably on a weekday as I work on weekends :/ With enough notice ill book it off and come down for sure.
Just wondering, whos an experienced rider, and who is new? Ive been riding for about 5 years, now. Lookin to hit up vermont for a week over reading week :) |
