and it's not like he does nothing.. he claps and stuff appropriately, but intense concentration most of the time.. i love it, you know this guy gives each performance 100%..

I think dj interaction is probebly the most over rated quality looked for on TA. I don't give a if the guy stands there with a suicidal look on his face, and moves slower than molasses - as long as the mixing is top notch, the tunes are stellar, and the programing is done well - that's all that matters in my books.

It's fun to see guys like Deko-ze and Jelo do their thing like they are injected with hyper juice - but at the end of the day, it's the tunes you'll remember - not the booth presence.

yea but its not nothing to do with his interatction.. u might be lucky to get pvd to smile a few times at the crowd, let alone dance. people that need the dj to interact like dekoze or someone are usually just dj worshipers...fair gets the crowd going with skill, he doesn't need a jesus pose

I agree with you that what it comes down to is the tunes that are being played, but I don't think DJ interaction is over rated. It depends on the set, really. If it's banging techno/tech-house a la Carl Cox or Deko-ze, it really adds to the set for me to see them getting into it.

If it's, slow, trippy progressive like Sasha sometimes plays, it really ads to the set if he stands there like he's ed out of his tree.

I won't have a bad time if the DJ isn't interacting, but I could have a better time if he is.

to tell you the truth...i rarely look at the DJ, i really don't care what he's doing as long as the music and crowd is going off....i think i look at him/her more if the music is cause then i'm like..."who is this clown and why does he suck ass?"

but yeah...Luke is definately one of my favorite local boys and his xtended set at system was flawless...some of the best music all year
