Fedora, Installation CD wont boot - HELP!!!!

Hello,
i downloaded the iso files, extracted them and put them on CD.
they all burnt successfully.
when i put disc1 in, it wont boot. my bios settings have cd to be booted first.
any suggestions???

| you dont extract iso ? you just burn it like that to cd and then it should boot if your bios is set to boot of cd |

in a .iso extension?

it's in free!!

| Um like said earlier, you don't extract ISO files. You burn iso files. All burning software should allow you to just burn an image onto the cd. |

| Not trying to be rude but, if you have trouble burning iso files, you might have trouble using linux. |

jej true but why not give it a try ;)
and ya burn that .iso just as it is on a cd and then try it will work or if its nto then your iso might be edup
www.linuxiso.org ;) download what you want and burn iso as it is dont extract or anything |

He's right, but here is what you need to do.
Ill give you instructions using Nero.
1. Skip the Wizard and go straight to the program.
2. Go to File > Open.
3. Make sure you are highlighting (Files of Type: ) Image files, and navigate to the *.iso.
4. Open the *.iso.
5. Select your usual burning options and press burn.
6. Spend the next 7-10 minutes of your life usefully.
The finished disc should boot when in the disc drive during startup. |
