Maybe they are just badly produced? Mastering can't save ty sounding production.

Can of worms. Dont go there. :D
New DB stuff for the album sounds much sweeter. His old stuff does sound a bit dodgy, does need remastering. |

the reason to why Digital Blondes tracks are badly mastered can be the fact that he produced them with an Atari with 4 mb memory. The same he had been using for over 10 years. :nervous: |
that has nothing to do with it, I've heard some fantastically mastered stuff on the old 1020's, the guy just isn't very good at mastering |

| Do not confuse mastering and mixing! The mixing is during the production, if it's crap, the mastering will be useless. |

| System F // Reaching Your Soul - theres a load of 'clipping' noises when the main melody builds up...cant believe Ferry let this happen.....or maybe its just the version on the Platipus Compilation - 'tales of the unexpected' ive got it on... |

I heard you mention this before and that is just amazing. Imagine what D.B. would sound like if they used today's modern equipment! You can't begin to describe the type of potential music they could produce. |
