So im currently a student at Ottawa university in the Public Administration with specialization in public policy analysis. one of my compulsory courses is accounting:mad:. part of an assigmnent is to compose a monthly budget using Excel. considering the fact that i am not an avid Excel user, i was wondering if their is a template of some sort that will assist me in composing a monthly budget or do i just have to type everything as is?? I know this is lame, but help and suggestions are much appreciated!

If you're going to do any sort of number crunching, and you're just starting out in excel, i suggest you sweat the books now, and take shortcuts later when you actually know the program.

stop smoking weed at exam time and don't be so ing lazy.

woah...

i guess ur the only one that never attempted to find some sort of short cut in ur post secondary years...

DJ Eterno, i barely knew excel too but as engine9 mentioned, use teh help menu...use the search function in it and find solutions...

excel is basically taking an idea of urs and just thinking of what path u want the final product to take..

in second year of univ, we were made to do 4 year sales forcasts using all the possible analysis formulas using excel..we all bitched and complained, but by the time we were done, we were pros...oh and our prof barely helped us out

i think it's more like "sick of lazyness".. i succumb to that all the time..

honestly, my google link and your tip to use excels help, should've been the first things tried, rather than a post on a music related forum of all places..
