personally i think jules can be quality live, the only reason im not seeing him tonight is im too nackered :(
CyberTeraz
I have seen Jules play some quality sets, and also some dog sets!

I dont mind if hes in the line up tbh...gives people something to talk about!
ClubHarder
Only seen him 3 times and didnt enjoyany of his sets, uses to many accapelas and cheesy vocal tracks for my liking.
TBH i think wen he tries his mixin is spot on tho (not 100% of time tho)
kiddiejon
saw him last night, he's ing amazing.. as fly said, people only slate him to fit in, if he wasn't on radio 1 every week would you all still hate him? Fair enuff, i agree, his choice of tunage sometimes has a bit to be desired, but at least he's individial, and as for people who say he cant mix?! wtf?!
Matty V
I've heard him play good sets before, but he just ruins it when he gets on the mic or gets his missus to sing live.

It was during one of his sets that opened my eyes to urban train :) one of my favourite tunes

And the bloody rest, lol.

Jules gets a load of unfair berating though, people tend to just call him crap because it’s the “in” thing. People think that if they bitch about him then they must be “in the know”. Just see how many have a go about Jules in Music Discussion when his name comes up. It’s true what you said, when it comes to Jules most peeps are sheep.

Jules’ biggest problem, lately, is consistency. He’ll play quality one time then terrible the next. To be honest I think a lot of it is to do with drink. I’m not saying he’s an alcoholic or anything but he likes to drink a few when he’s playing. Result, dodgy tune selection / mixing.

I like Jules and always will. I wouldn’t be into the music I am now or DJ’ing if it wasn’t for him! And I still maintain that when he is on top form he can easily hold his own with any of the best DJ’s one cares to name. It’s just a shame we don’t see that blinding form much these days.
:(

he's been around so long he can't live up to the hype he gives out. he's totally rich and i couldn't give a toss either way, i don't go to see him, but i don't mind if he's on, and he doesn't give a toss either way, so, erm, live and let live i guess.

He may be rich, but compared to all the other superstar DJ contingent apparently his fees are really competitive.

Dan's on a commision based salary :D
Misty Kitty
He certainly helped me get in the mood as my weekend warm ups on radio 1. I can't say if i liked his tunes because tbh my memory sucks and i can't remember any of it pretty much from 99-01.

He played an end set earlier this year at turnmills i think he was heavier than i was expecting him to be but none the less it wasnt a bad night, just not so much my preferred listening.
