The premise is simple.
The Circle Line (marked in yellow on the map below), one of the routes on London's subway system, runs in a circle (hence the name) and has 27 stops. There is a pub or bar within 500 yards of every subway stop. We start at 11am, get off at the first stop and have a drink. Get back on the train, travel to the next stop and have a drink. Repeat another 25 times until we're back at our original starting station.
The kiddies' version is half a pint at each stop. The adults version is a pint at every stop. Having attempted this in previous years, our greatest enemy is time, as many bars close at 11pm. Full report to follow.
