you have to be in college and have a college email to sign up. It's basically networking for college, aka whoring yourself by adding lots of people as friends (just like myspace) |

myspace = diary entries for people to see and way to keep in contact with people.
facebook = online identity used to meet people at your college and to keep in touch with old high school classmates.
so to me they are different and facebook is way better since it doesnt take time at all and can only be a time-waster/addiction when you want it to be. |

yeah, i got that same problem.
if you just search on global facebook, at whatever university and the persons name - you can then add them from there. |
