Does Atmosphere have choir sounds? Can you seperate that "ooh-ahh morph"?!..

Hi,

Spectrasonics have made voice sample cds in the past, however I was wondering if there Atmosphere VSTi has many choir sounds, cause when checking the patch list it doesn't seem so! It seems to have some vocoded vox patches I believe and a ooh-ahh morph patch, but doesn't it have any straightforward ooh and aah patches?! I would expect that in a pad synth.

Regarding that ooh-ahh morph patch, is it possible to program it so that you can have a straight ooh or ahh choir sound if you know what I mean or will it always sweep (morph) between those two if you know what I mean. Or does it have the ooh and ahh choir sound as seperate layers so that you can have them individual without the morphing. How exactly is that?

PS: if possible, could you please post audio demos of straight ooh and ahh choir sounds from Atmosphere if it is possible! To upload fast, you can always use yousenit.com. Thanks very much!!

Yes it has. Though I think as well there could be more choir sounds.

here's a sample of the "breathy Ahhs" sound.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply and audio file! Is that the same ahh as used in the ooh-ahh morph patch?

Apart from that ahh sound, does it also have other vowels like "oohs". If so, could you please post an audio file of that too. How much vowels/choir sounds does it have?

Also, regarding that ooh-ahh morph patch, it is so that it consists of 2 layers, one the ooh sound, the other the ahh sound, so that you can use them seperately. Anybody could please explain how that works exactly in Atmosphere, perhaps using the ooh-ahh morph patch as example?

PS: and if possible, please post audio demos! Thanks alot!!

Well, in Atmosphere most presets consist of two sounds layered together. In atmosphere, you can, as you certainly know, layer two sounds together, maybe even with the possibility of morphing them into each other. And that is just what the "ooh-aah-morph" does.
The sound used in the clip is used in the ooh-aah-morph I think, that sound consists of the "breathy aahs" and "breathy oohs" sounds.

Here is another one: the "female ooh" preset. A little deeper.

And here is one of my personal favorites: the "monkoder"...

Hi,

Thanks again for the audio demos! The "female ooh" sounds nice, but I don't see it in the Atmosphere patch list on the Spectrasonics site? How come? Is it perhaps not a preset patch??

Also, could you please post audio demos of the "breathy oohs" and "male ooh" if it exists, cause I like ooh sounds :). Thanks very much!!
