Ok I have two questions really.

has anyone heard Tiesto-Ur(Junkie XL Air guitar mix.)?

if you have I would like some tips on how to make my open hats sound like that. is it just low mid EQ with a phatter hat to start with? or is there something im missing.

second.

When making a trance beat with a lot of percussion IE(hats congas, bongos etc.) whats a good way to give it that rolling feel?

Probably some bitcrushing, distortion, low EQ, filter, or some combination of these. I know the track, but I think it was simply good percs to start with.

Check out some of the other threads on the forum about fattening percs- similar questions are asked frequently.

The "rolling feel" you're talking about comes about with a fair degree of complexity. Layer your percs and make a ton of layers- eliminate the ones that aren't that great, and keep adding until you have a complex rhythmic set. A lot of percs going at once, if mastered correctly, will contribute to a "rolling feel", especially if there is a big gap between the sibilant, upper range percs and the mid percs.
