I found this thing, don't know if I should buy it, it's not too expensive.
I would like something that I can connect to my laptop to record mixes, but I don't want to spend a fortune on an external soundcards, and software.

Terratec Phono USB preamp studio.

Has anyone ever used this thing?, it should have a line in since it can record from a tape player. Can I record a 2 hour mix with this?

if you're gonna use a pair of TT's and a mixer, then you don't need this product. the signal coming out of the mixer can be recorded on the pc using the line in jack of your sound card.

if you just want to archive vinyl. then you MAY want to use this. (assuming you don't want the TT passing thru your mixer to the comp) as you can see in the picture, you can connect the TT direct to the box, and then box feeds the signal to the comp via USB.
