Ummm... what's there to help with?? that's just exactly how it should work. When you press the HW 1/2 In you're telling the Audiophile to route to audio from hardware inputs 1 and 2 to the outputs so that you can hear the JP... isn't that what you want to do, and isn't that what you have done?
If, however, you want the audio to stream through your computer and into sequencers like Cubase you must set up audio channels in Cubase that accept the hardware inputs and then route the audio back to the monitor mixer of the audiophile. This will give you the same result as selecting H/W In 1/2 in the router, but now Cubase is doing it instead of the Audiophile control panel, and you can add effects to the audio channel in Cubase as well.
Edit: (I have a Delta 44, I thinnk this is similar for the Audiophile) You can also select the Monitor mixer as the input for H/W Out 1/2 in the patchbay/router, and then unmute the H/W In 1/2 channels in the mixer. |

Low profile is dead-on...
and if your using FruityLoops leave it on WavOut 1/2 then patch the sound through your sequencers mixer with the IN boxand choose "analog in 1-Delta-AP . this way you wont get a double sound, the M-audio playing it back and a slighty delayed sequencer doing the same as you would with the H/W 1/2. |
