Just got satellite radio

Ya, had to purchase in the US, as Canada only has 2 choices of players u can buy. LAME!

nat did you have to subscribe to the american sirius or canadian ? or can you use this unit on canadian broadcast?

I'm sure u could use this w/the canadian service too. The $50 mail in rebate for this unit is only good for residents of the US- handy for me, I have a US mailing & billing address.

Both services give you all the stations that the states get, as well as 8 for S and 10for XM of the Canadian station (I believe those stations are also picked up by American listeneres aswell)

Its just one Giant network with both services, you buy into the pool of everything

Canadian sirus has BBC Radio 1. It also features a local radio station that's right here in Toronto :cool:

I thought Canadians would not be permitted to hear the Howard Stern show. Kinda surprised you can bypasss the Canadian regulators & program package.

How's the sound quality? I read it is better than FM radio but not as good as a CD or high bitrate MP3.

BTW ExpressVu TV dish system has a dance music channel, 917, it's not bad for club/house/trance, and an electronic music channel (I haven't heard it yet) on their HDTV satellite.
