| in all honesty, i've partied in clubs from space miami, to spundae los angeles, and everywhere in between, and i've never met more ego maniacal , self absorbed employees as those who work at Crobar. and it's so funny, what do they make? 15$/hr tops? hahaha...next time you're in line flash some food stamps and you'll get right in. |

this happens all the time. i have been told my dress is not up to par with crobar dress code while i was wearing something i have worn there before. to be honest, its not ur dress, its how the guy feels...
if i am to go to crobar during the winter, i always wear a colared shirt on top of the tshirt i wanna wear. that way, he cant say its because i am wearing a tshirt. when i get inside, i check the shirt with my coat and its all good.
also, its good to be entering with a woman. if you are with a bunch of dudes, split up. you will not get in with a group of guys!! |

The only problem I had with him was when I was going there to see Jollins & Hernan Cattaneo back in the summer. Was wearing shorts. Another guy in front of me was wearing shorts, shorter than mine and got in somehow. Dont know why. But other than that, I get in with my Jeans, plaid shirt, etc. no problem. He sees me all the time. So I dont think there would be any issues in the future. I guess he's gotta be a pain in the ass to people. |

| i wasnt let in once before because i was wearing shorts. i think it was bull, but people in new york think that they are cooler than everyone else. i think the guy is a and i think the vibe at the club is ty. |

i dress the same way when i see tiesto avb or whoever at crobar. last night i went to go hear jollins and serge and i got denied entrance cuz of my attire. ok so i go home and change. go inside and see some KIDS wearing the dirtiest crap. wtf is up with that |
oh man, i'm really sorry that this happened. thanks for coming out and for going the extra step in going home, changing, then coming back. sorry you had to go through that.
shoot me a pm the next time i'm playing at crobar and i'll make sure that you and a friend get in for free.

not to knock on you but if you think the vibe at the club is ty then why you complaining about not getting in with shorts? why would you even be going if you are opposed to the place?
also, shorts? lets be serious now, the "nightlife" in general is a stomping ground for socialites, some who prefer to dress to depress others who prefer to be casual, i think anywhere you go from miami to LA, the nightlife revolves around casual to dress-up and far from shorts.
also, with the impression that "people in new york think that they are cooler than everyone else" is a clear misinterpretation of true new yorkers. maybe because new yorkers have a bit thicker skin than most of the world, that doesnt necessarily grant us the label of "cooler than everyone else". Go to South Beach Miami and tell me about who is cooler than who. This is New York, this is what it's about. if you aren't going somewhere, get the f* out the way cuz you are slowing me down....we aren't cooler we are just on the move, on the trend, on cutting edge of everything, that's the pace here and the quality of life trains individuals to think with that mentality. if you can't accept this, then maybe new york isn't the place for you. a cooler than everyone else mentality is just another way of expressing your opinion which also happens to be a judgement against a regional group of people - that my friend is not "COOL"! |

Same issue last summer. I was with barosoap on one of our first dates, went to dinner, then went home and changed into slacks and a t-shirt to go out, then he didn't let me in, even though she was with me. We had to run back across town, change my shirt back to a button-down, then went back. It was a pain in the ass, but I've never had a problem since. |

| I definitely think the more he sees your face, the more lenient he is. Because I've gotten in looking pretty sloppy lately... just gives us a once over and lets us through. |
