If by "smartest people" you mean either the right-wing Christian fundies, corporatist conservatives (the ones with the strictly moneyed agenda's who would also line up to sell their souls), or those that just have no clue, who always vote along their normal party lines because they naively believe that the candidates (temporarily/politically adopted) values will still be espoused once that candidate is actually elected - then yeah, they voted for Bush. |

You have a wrong view of Republicans or the people that voted for Bush. Id rather vote for Bush then Kerry or Gore. I mean its not like the democrats are so smart by choosing people like Kerry to represent them in thier presidental elections. |

Okay, well, set me straight then. What's the correct view?
In a way, I'm more or less speaking from personal experience after hearing a dozen hard-line Republican relatives go on about how they voting for Dubya because of the tax cuts, etc. On the other hand, a few of my other relatives (and close friends) raised the issues of Bush's long history of unscrupulous business deals, stock trades, criminal associations, hard drug use, lack of empathy for the working man, and his tendency to lie about most of it, just to name a few things. |

Well, if it was in the Times then it must be true.
I'm still trying to decipher the rest of what you said, though. |

Yeah, it's only true when it's coming from you ;) You suck at this. Please, spare me your comeback that will be along the lines of "You're an idiot" or ":haha:". It's far too redundant |
