I've tried asking everywhere how to make one and what programs to use. I have never produced a trance track and I don't know how to either. I want to make some recnstructiosn of unreleased tracks but no one wants to help me out. Can someone educate me on how to do so and what programs to use? I have the general ideas in mind but I need to transform them from ideas to the real thing. Can someone help me out? Please let me know and thanks in advance! |

just start doing it by whatever means. And maybe in a couple of years you'll be good. |

Cool Edit / wav editor
A P2P program to grab radio rips / Former Traneaddict hub EMC will have
now simply cut and paste parts and use your ideas to create a reconstruction. |

Awesome awesome... SO I'm getting CoolEdit right now, I don't need radio rips because I'll be creating the parts to rip them, and what is the "Former Traneaddict hub EMC" is this something on DC++ ?? Also, if I can't find the full first measure, how do I make loops, fade out, and match the volume levels of different audio rips that I make so they are the same? |

I would use Mixmeister Pro or Sony Acid for this purpose |

TA does not support reco's of unreleased tracks. Nor would the artists:whip: :whip: :whip: |

Seems like Ableton Live would be ideal for this sort of thing. |

I strongly advise you not to even get mixed up with reconstructions ... alot of artist are starting to take MAJOR legal actions against people doing these ... Plus alot of people who actually have moral standards feel its wrong to do so ... rethink before you try it ... buy it, before that 1,000,000 dollar plus lawsuit causes you a riot ...:toothless |

Bull
They havent a case. Its no different than someone making a bootleg of a major act like madonna or such. The only difference is reconstructions dont make their creator any money. The reason bootlegs get away with it is that the artist either does not care or because they are 99% anonymous they can find the creator.
They may have a case if the reconstruction is sold and you know who the creator was and it was the creator who was selling. Failing that the only other ways i can see the artist even having a case is if they argued that the reconstruction actually caused loss of sales, which would be very very hard to prove as continious plays on the radio and such could also have the same effect you could argue.
That or they could argue you illegally downloaded / recorded from the radio, but then you would be up against trying to be the first people in history to have someone sentanced for recording something off the radio. Also could argue the quality of the reconstruction may put people off buying the original. This i could understand.
Ultimatly i dont see why any artist would have a problem with it, its free promotion. |

as long as it is for personal and not commercial use, there is no problem

I would be more than happy to buy even several copies of some unreleased tracks that I want to have thats why I was thinking of a reconstruction but it seems pretty bad to do so I'm not sure where to go.... one advantage is that it would make alot of the unknown artists come out of nowhere if one was made but I do not plan to mass distribute it at all. I feel that is very wrong but maybe if I do make one, use the track once or twice at a small event to hear the crowd's reaction to it. Believe me, no one is happier than myself when a full-version of a track comes out so I can buy it. |
