I'm looking to see where Sander K takes us this year.

I predict a backlash on minimal, a sudden surge in experimental deebee, guitars in house to become even more popular than last year, and for trance to continue getting more and more twinkly and less and less original.

trance to split in two. it nearly has already but the asot/gdjb sound will finally die out as a newer sound comes in somehow, maybe influenced by other styles or reusing older ones to make a new sound. Evolution happens naturally though so we'll have to wait & see.

As the techno people love to be cool & even more opinionated than the biggest trancewhore, i do predict minimal too will get a backlash, as another sound takes over, things do revolve so we'll see what gets it.

well The Digital Blonde album is hopefully getting released in beginning of January. If everything turns out well it should easily become album of the year.
I don't care much for anything else right now :)

isn't tiesto releasing an album in '06?

I'm no fan of tiesto, but lets see what happens.

Nothing will change until the audience base changes and I dont see that changing soon.

>insert stupid dj/music mag here..< will event a new genre.. which they can champion for the first 10 months of the year, then release a few issues completely bastardising the whole point of the said new genre, and claim its death in their bumper December Double Bill.

In the mean time, unknown to the majority of clubbers reading said magazines...

the dance community continues to thrive worldwide, with all the big djs getting richer, all the promoters loving how fat their wallets are... and the clubbers happy to see their favourites in megagothical ultra-modern sports arenas (with free air con!).

Meanwhile over on TA... the 500 regulars who would find something to bitch about even if they lived in Utopia... complained about the lack of decent tunes, comparing the new genre to edm when they first started.

in fact 2006 sounds just like 2005 did.
