The other day, I had this weird dream where the Village People came over to my place and performed, "In The Navy" on stage. And I was dancing to it in the "Peanut Butter Jelly Time" fashion up front. (http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/banana.php if you don't know what I'm talking about).

My dreams vary. Some are awesome..some are ed up. The worst is when your half awake with the feeling like someone is in your room, but ya cant see ..but you have a gut feeling like your in some sort of danger. I keep a loaded 45 next to my nightstand due to the neighborhood I live in and the gear I have in my room. I remember waking up with a feeling someone was in my room and inching one hand to the 45 and the other to flip on the light.. and of course the room being empty.
I doubt anyone else here really gets like that but I've heard of it before. Happens to alot of vets so Ive heard *shrug* wish I could say its as funny as it probably sounds. heh |

Well, I lack the .45, but I do sleep with a 10" blade under the pillow for those occasions where I might think Haji's come over the wall, even if said wall is really just a barracks room door. :p |

That sounds like sleep paralysis. I've had it several times and it's not fun.

If you guys get sleep paralysis an easy solution is not sleeping on your back. |

i always have wierd dreams...like ill imagine beating up people when in reality im like 5'4" and 150lbs with absolutley no muscle with no way of winning a fight other than pure luck.
also ill have those wier dreams like ur awake but not, and then a few days later you think the dream was a reality when in fact it was just a dream. ex. i had a dream bout me and a friend hanging out and like 3-4 days later i asked him if he remembered hanging outand he said naw that he was in atx at the time. weird . |

well damn..that could def be it, bu I mostly sleep on my back to recover from my labor job. I usually get the sleep paralysis or the intense dreams if I've taken melatonin or unisom before goin to bed...to help me sleep :/ If I fall asleep without them, I usually dont dream or have any I remember, but I wont be able to fall asleep easy.
go figure |

I take one 5-HTP before I go to bed and I have the most vivid dreams.
Try it, you'll love it! :D |

Here is a dream I had a long time ago. I enjoyed it so much that I wrote it down and eventually had it published in my university anthology.
I hope you like it.
quote: | THE DREAM
I'm running through this field of daisies, they're all about shoulder high, I can barely see over them. I'm running from something, something that scared the hell out of me, but I didn't know what. Then I'm running along the edge of this forest, the kind of forest you always see in those fairy tale movies. The wind is blowing from all directions, blowing dry leaves all around. Giving the illusion, that the leaves are circle dancing on their own. The wind is cool to the touch and with each gust it nibbles on my cheek. I'm still running. If only I could pick up enough speed, maybe I can fly. (In my dreams I can fly, I free myself from that invisible hold the earth has on us all. When I fly in my dreams, I free myself from all things. Things that cause me pain, sadness, and anger. I am at peace.) Nothing happens, "Why can't I fly?" I think to myself. Inside my head I can hear myself screaming in frustration. I stop running and look up to the sky; it's a perfect blue with white, cotton ball clouds shooting across the sky. I throw my fists in the air and scream, "Why won't you help me?! Why won't you set me free?!"
The clouds start to slow down, they come to a complete stop. The wind is no longer blowing. The leaves have ceased to dance; they lay on the ground, lifeless. I fall to my knees and bury my face in my fists, crying. All is silent. All is still. Then came the breeze, its warm, comforting and coming from the forest. I look up, my eyes are blurry from the tears, but I see someone, a women, walking yet she seemed to be floating toward me. I'm still kneeling on the ground, and she's standing over me, I haven't the courage to look up. She sits down next to me and puts her arms around me, pulling my head into her lap. I look up at her and she down at me. Her eyes are those of an angel, innocent yet powerful. Her perfect brown hair blows in the wind, the wind that seems to start and stop within her. She moves her hands over my face and smiles. With that smile, I feel a wave of peace rush over my body. Then came this voice, her voice, and she says to me. "I'm sorry if it's brought you pain. I'll take you away."
