I just had a really good dining experience at the keg mansion on jarvis.
It's very cool inside and the food was top notch. |

1. I disagree on the Keg Mansion. The food is OK, not top notch, but again, that's my opinion. I was raised in the Hotel & restaurant industry, I know my food & my dad was the GM at the Holiday Inn on King & the Royal York.
I am a SUSHI fanatic & I'd recommend KATSU also FUNE on Simco & Richmond. See information below: Very good food & service & prices are acceptable. Sit at the bar. There is a boat that goes around the bar & serves you.

| I second that FUNE recommendation. I like Asuka in Yorkville too but that is kinda pricey. |

KATSU on Danforth and Pape is the absolute best in the city for sushi...trust me, I've tried almost all of them, and all my firends agree too. For 20 bucks you can get a buffet, and its a fresh buffet (they make it in front of you), not the type they keep the food out. The spicy salmon rolls there are second to none. 3-4 of us usually end up eating ~75 pieces :toocool: |
There is a place like this out in the west end, Martingrove and Steeles, amazing. But yes, Katsu is wicked |

i only go to Benihana for japanese food but it would cost you more than $30 per person.
last time i took a girl there, it cost me $150 for the two of us. |

Sushi Inn in Yorkville is pretty good. I just had dinner there tonight with some friends - 8 plates of apps and rolls and it was only $50.00. It may be possible to still get in on NYE...worth a try.

Lily, Tempo, and Nami for sushi.
I think Lily is the most underrated. it's right across the street from the broadview subway station (there are actually 2 sushi places across the from broadview subway, and Lily is the more swanky looking of the 2) |

Katsu has a sister restaurant called Masa with the same buffet deal, but a MUCH NICER restaurant & ambiance at the corner of Yonge & Charles Street E. Its right next to the Comfort Hotel. I've eaten there with Dallastar- yummy!
Masa- 416-920-3388, 15 Charles St. E.
