a great night out. Oscar delivered like he was supposed to MIAMI STYLE :toocool:
Got to club around 11:30ish and it wasnt too packed hardly any line up either. Republik has the most friendliest door staff in Toronto. The bouncers were courteous helpful and actually had a smile on their face. Right off the bat the music was kicking, as many of you would agree if you all were listening to the live stream. Walter along with Manzoe & Strong did a great job opening up for Oscar. Good to see alot of the TAs out having fun and dancing their pants off :) Nada & Andrea ... you girls are awesome, thankyou very much for drinks and everything last night:D
One thing that did get me kinda upset was the stupid bartender. Me and Nada order drinks she goes its 25.50 i give her 40 and she only gives back 4.50 ... i kindly say i gave u 40 and she catches an attitude and tells me no i gave her 30. i didnt even have 10 dollar bill in my pocket but oh well. i hope it made her night :)

that was the earliest I have bailed from anywhere in a looooong time, could not deal with the crowd, and having to stand in a queue to go have a smoke, etc.
(I'm not one for lighting up the cigs in the middle of the floor I hate blowing smoke at the people who really dont wanna deal with it)
nice to see some of you guys as always |

but we stood in the line for like 20 minutes to go have a smoke watching all the friends and family members and their friends of the vip ppl go up and rest of us jusst stand their like loosers. |

lol tons of people did but I don't blame 'em that kinda setup sucks - and oh yeah I forgot that the tunes I had to listen to upstairs in order to have my smoke... :mad:
it also kinda seemed like a bunch of people didnt expect they were coming out to a house event so they just stayed upstairs to get their fix of other stuff.. bummer for them, eh ;) |

are you serious ? hahahaha gotta luv it ... oh no the dj playin da house stuff lets go listen to hip hop :haha: :haha: no disrespect to hip hop :)
i am not a househead or anything close to it but i love going to house events as often as i can because its a change for me from my regular trance events and plus the vibe is also great and when Oscar is town its even better. gotta show support to local Miami d00d :) |

welcome to our dumb smoking laws. Soon you wont even have the option of another room thanks to our government. |

I think all of the people on holidays wanted to get out wednesday, but with only a limited amount of events / clubs open in the city, the mainstream crowd flocked to republik. I noticed a lot of people filtering out early on in the night, just when Oscar G was starting to throw it down... wtf !
The smoking room situation was bull. Usually the other room is open so they can properly flow people through the smoking room...
I ended up having to smoke ciggs on the dance floor.
Overall, republik has some serious potential to be a good house club! |
