I am really glad with this baby.

Very good mixing and mastering tools like the Master X 3 for example.

And the Virus Plugin, I do really love it :gsmile: .

Two questions:

1. Are there any other Powercore users in this forum?

2. Which is better in your opinion: Virus Powercore Multi Licences
or Virus TI ?

both have a lot of bugs.. so technical the virus ti is better. but i will stay with my virus b as it doesn't sound worser..

PoCo Element is working great for me, sorta considering springing for the upgrade. Haven't had any real problems with the Virus plugin either.

I'd spring for some true analogue synths if I had the money, but I think that virtual analogues are kind of a waste when you can get the same results with software and DSP cards (or even just software). Just my opinion though.

I woulda got this + virus combo if fruity did support it properly. :|

I got the Powercore MK1 Element with standard plugins.
Would love the Virus plugin but I would rather spend that amount of cash on the hardware verion

What the hec are Virus Powercore Multi Licences ???

Multi license means you can run more than one iunstance of the powercore virus... I believe it's possible to run up to 4 with a multilicense.

so if you have 2 powercores in your system, you'll get 8 instances. it's like having 8 Virus B in your studio: 96 Voices polyphony and 32 multitracks...

But it's amazing. Already with the Demo Version you get better sounds than any other native VSTi
:D

Does that mean I shouldn't being running more than 1 instance of...say a reverb plugin.....unless I have multi-licences ???

I thought you could run as many instances (plugins) as you liked until your card ran out of resources.

surely multi-licences must mean you can run several instances on multiple machines ??

what next....licences to say what days you can use the software
:haha: I think I be the judge of how I choose to make use of my hardware, that I purchased to use.

yeah....I tried the demo...nice sounds....but only for a few seconds....I still manage to use the demo in some of my tracks...just record them before it shuts off :tongue3

No most plugins come without these kind of restrictions built in.

So this answer is, yes you can, except for the virus powercore.

No, it has some software built in, unless you have a multilicense you can run only 1 virus powercore plugin (maybe that is per powercore you have installed, could be:) )

To bad that aint the case I'm afraid. Software builders are entitled to create their own terms of use. You don't like it? Don't use it.

do i need to buy powercore for the virus vst to work? does powercore come with the virus plug? or are they just part of eachother?

can i just get the virus vst to use as a usual vst in cubase?

an how much should i expect to pay?

The virus powercore is essentially a virus b in software, it sounds very near to the real thing.

The powercore itself will set you back about 1000Euro, the virus plugin another 400E, the multilicensed version is even more expensive I believe. Not sure about these prices, but you sure as hell need the powercore for this plugin ;)

And yes the virus plugin can be used as if it's a vst in cubase.
