So here's my list
Best party: Bal en Blanc ( but since i didn't do anything else this year ... )
Best Dj : Erol Alkan
Best Breakthrough dj : It's a tie between the Trophy twins and Loco dice
Best song : Switch - A bit patchy
What will be big next year : Well, since electro house is the new tribal, there's obviously gonna be a new trend coming out this year. I do believe that funk will make a HUGE comeback but i'm not sure it's gonna be in 2k6. One thing is for sure, the Dnb scene will come back in the front of the scene in 2k6

2005 was one of the best years in the scene I"ve had in a while...From many many years ago seeing all the kings of todays music at Sona, and Groove Society...and Atomic in Ottawa, I can honestly say that this year was one of the best.
Best party :: Sasha and Steve Porter @ Aria...One of my favorite nights ever. Honorable mentions to BBB and DJ Dan and King Louis, And The Creator nights at Aria.
Best DJ :: Hernan Cattaneo, he just continues to impress, can't wait to see him in 2005 @ Aria. Honorable mentions to Sandra Collins and Steve Porter.
Best Breakthrough DJ :: Desyn Masiello...He's still fresh, but this year he proved his staying power with the big guys. Honorable mentions to King Unique, and Preach.
Best Track :: Holderman - Left Right Switch (King Roc Dub). When Sasha played this @ Aria in June, I was covered in goose-bumps.
What will be big next year :: I beleive that the Sweeidsh Mafia....Steve Angello, Eric Prydz, Sebastian Ingrosso..etc. have been a huge influence as producers and now DJs...Next year promises to test their true talents.
And I"m going to add one or 2....
Best Local DJ :: I cannot bring it less thatn three starts that shun this year above the many others that I had seen...
King Louis....He has gotten visibly and noticeably better every time I"ve seen him this year...I expect HUGE things from this young DJ..He has big potential.
Creator :: This guy kills me every time he plays, his style is exactly what I like, and every song is a killer, no filer whatsoever..He's a big-room killer...I expect HUGE things in his future.
Maus :: I've been seeing her for years now and her style has completely found its own. She has evolved into an amazing live Dj, and I will catch her live any time I can.
Best Club 2005 ::
Aria.
Lets hope its a ninja 2006.
