obnoxious co-workers

srsly... i'm about to snap. :whip:
i'm one of 5 designers in our art department, and me and this dude have been working here the longest (just over 3 years now). we used to be friends but now i can't stand him. he is without a doubt the biggest loser i have ever encountered... he's 33, an alcoholic, lives in a dumpy apartment with his loser roommate, spends all his money on booze, and has a hard time comprehending reality.
so the last couple days our art director has been out and i've been responsible for taking over his duties... which means handing out new work and making sure it gets passed to the right people... so whatever, Chris (the obnoxious co-worker) is insanely jealous that i'm responsible for the art director's duties because he's wanted the art director position for the last 2 years but he's too much of a drunk idiot to do it.
so all day long he's been nagging me about this site he's working on, asking me what i think about him doing something "wacky" and "out there" (it looks like , basically)... and i keep telling him it's all personal preference of the client, they might like it, they might not... but the thing is, they already explained what they wanted and he's NOT doing that. he just will not shut up about it.
basically he doesn't understand anything that you're saying unless you repeat it 10-15 times or get REALLY mad and bitchy... now i'm typically not a bitchy person at all, but it's the only way of getting through to him.
the funny thing is, i can totally tell when he's drunk at work... on normal days he usually just sits there and does his work and listens to internet radio... when he's drunk, he comes in all obnoxious and talkative and reeking like booze and cigs, starting random conversations with everyone about the stupidest ever.
i don't want to get him fired but man... our office would be so much more peaceful if he wasn't here. |

I have a couple of annoying co workers.
I work part time in a butchery(as I'm a student). And the guy in charge is really annoying, so much so that I nearly put my knife in his back the other day.
He is one of those 'my way or the highway' type people, ing showing me the 3 steps to washing a tray, or watching you trying to put the mincer back together and waiting for you to make a mistake, just so he can make some smart-arse comment.
Another time I nearly cut my thumb off drying a knife (which looks like a sword) and he was crying his eyes out that I was using too many plasters.
He also caught the tip of my finger between a big basin and the stand for it, i only noticed the cut when I was doing the mince, and realised that my own blood was dripping onto it. :haha:
The other co-worker is a lazy ****. That's it really.
But more or less I get on with them pretty well, so it's not that bad. |

it wouldn't be a surprise though... everyone here KNOWS he's an alcoholic. he's been busted numerous times for coming in drunk, bringing alcohol to work, passing out drinks to co-workers, etc... my boss has a soft spot for him and they've given him sooooo many 2nd chances.
he's gonna get fired eventually, i just hope it's sooner than later.
seriously... and this is only what i have to deal with at work. his buddy lives in the same apartment complex as me so he has showed up to my apartment numerous times (always without calling first)...
last friday Rob and i were just chillin out playing video games and gettin stony and listening to a Dekay set... all of a sudden i hear a knock on my door and i hear "POLICE! OPEN UP!" so i look through the peep-hole and it's -face... i open the door and i'm like "what, chris" and he starts rambling about how he needs pot and i'm like "if thats what you came here for then go home" and then he's like "nahhhhh come out for drinks! c'mon!"
and then today he asks me if i moved to a different apartment 'cause he remembers it being on a different side... i'm like, WTF you ing drunk babbling idiot! |

| lol omgawd. i wish you guys would pass by my job. i work in a pharmacy and my boss is from those indian parts. I dont' really have anything against those type of people, but this muther****** takes the cake. I can't stand working with him. Luckily i'm working the day shifts now so I don't have to take his . He WILL NOT stop talking, he will insult you to your face if he deems it necessary, he'll call you lazy and tell you "I don't know when you gonna learn, maybe never???". He does it to everybody including me and i'm one of the best there. He is so miserable he takes it out on us. He doesn't care about no one lol this dude is crazy. I don't know how he's a pharmacist and working cause he's got serious issues. and to top it all off, his voice is so annoying .... |
