they're overdue now. it's been 1 year! anyone ideas when the second revision is supposed to be released/

Excellent Question... Very long overdue... Keep on wondering and checking up on http://www.denondjforums.com

What more do you really need? Mine works perfect and the effects are good. But if the effects is the issue, you have to remember this a mixer with effects, it's not an effector with a mixer. Being that this is a digital mixer it has already been proved useful. The first x1500 had a delay issue i belive. You were able to update to correct the issue. New mixer are already shipped with the new update.

I cant really think of much else it does need... Although the ability to switch back to longer beat bars in echo would be handy... dont really know how they would acheave it without it sounding retarded tho... I dunno i dont really use the effects on my denon as much since i got my efx 1000 anyway... Just be cool to see updates, I just hope the next update isnt full of useless rubbish *cough* vocoder *cough*

I don't YET have the mixer, but I'm obsessing over it cuz I'm TOOOO close to having the cash to grab it, so I'd just add that it would be nice to have indepent EQ and compressor/limiter over the booth and master outputs. Being a digital mixer i think it's totally possible, and it would be sweet... now THAT's a world first if they did it.

Unfortunately I don't think they're going to release another update... from their point of view, they're now better off spending their time and effort working on a new mixer to replace the DN-X1500 than trying to fix things with now out of date hardware, for which they'll get nothing back in return (monetarily at least)

The DN-X1500 is quite a few years old now and the hardware itself limits things like the length of time it can loop for as it just doesn't have enough memory for any longer - same goes for adding new effects.

The one thing I think it should almost be their duty to fix, which they should be able to do, is the lag on the channel faders. The crossfader had a similar lag at first, which the first update fixed, so surely they should be able to do the same with the channel faders... personally I see that as a design fault, where as most other things would just be "niceties"

Thats amazing. Because every copy I have used has had the channel fader issue, and anyone I have spoken to has had that issue... Maybe you aren't listening close enough?

Timski
Yeah i havent noticed much of a channel fader delay either... could be just me but I do give my gear a fair workout

Nope, the lag is definately there, but a lot of people just aren't bothered by it.

I read on the Denon DJ forums that the problem was hardware related and couldn't be fixed via software. I would hope that if it COULD have been a SW fix it would have already been done.
