| DJ's love to play the Guvernment becasue the atmostphere is amazing... Ok so some of you guys don't like the crowding but from a DJ's prospective could you imaagine how crazy it is to play infront of a screaming sea of people. DJ's love the enegry and vibe that come out of the Guv...Its just that good of a place;) |

That is really awesome... out of anywhere to pick.. he picks Toronto... that makes me pretty proud actually!!
and its so true... Ferry is always going nuts when he comes to the Guv.. hearing him spin at other clubs ( not actually being there.. but getting the sets through the grapvine) and then comparing them to the sets i've heard at the Guv by him.. you can tell where his true love lies!
can't wait to see him again this coming year!!

| The Guv was also mentioned by Armin van Buuren as being one of his favourite clubs, at least in North America. But we forget that DJs and the crowd see things differently, people in the crowd may not like it being packed because they can't dance, but the DJ loves big crowds. |

Well there isn't a whole lot of competition in North America. Cops have been raiding clubs in New York city as of late looking for any type of violations. Even Pacha NY was raided on its grand opening and Morrillo had to quit playing to announce the cops have arrived. Tell me how much does that suck. New York used to be the mecca for wild hedonistic clubbing but is growing more conservative by the minute.
Of course there are clubs in Miami, California, and Ice in Las Vegas, but I don't know how they compare. There is also Crobar in Chicago which has got a few good reviews as of late. But again never been there. Somehow I doubt any of these cities match the craziness of the Guvernment from a DJs perspective.
Even here in Montreal there isn't the kind of crowding, bumping, pushing, dancing, and overall buzz that the guvernment has (I actually think Millenium is the closest to the Guvernment in terms of energetic crowd, dancing, etc). It seems like people here are more internalized and everyone gives each other some space, which can be a good thing. |

I am glad that Ferry Corsten enjoys playing at the Guverment as that is my favorite place to hear him spin.
The Guverment is unique in size and setup.
Glad that other DJs speak well of Guv as this means there is a better chance of more appearances by them :) |

could be...but I think Darey meant *anywhere* :)
I wish I could remember who it was now...another big name (I posted it a while ago)...they were asked a similar question...if they had two gigs left, where would they be. They said a little intimate club in Sydney or Melbourne, Australia...and Guv.
Flattery for Guv and Toronto indeed :) |
