As far as I know from what swamper and others have said www.tranceaddict.com is on another machine entirely, and with that it shouldnt affect the forums opperations (maybe images will load slower sometimes).
But TA is slow most of the time not from bandwidth but the thousands upon thousands of I/O operations the hard-disks have to do when writing to the databases (our bull has to go someplace... :p).
Soo... I dont know... as long as they are on seperate boxes they should be fine... I think maybe the DB's are getting a little workout, or he is backing up (MySQL I have heard is a bitch to back up sometimes if you have to pull it off while its live, which reminds me to ask Swamper if his DB shadown writes to another back up DB or not?).
Anyways... Im probably totally off... :p |
