Edgar V & George Acosta @ SPIRITS 12/30/05 Review + pics!

Just got back from one hell of a great night. The Spirits nightclub is DEFINTELY a very nice small version of Space, with the added convienience for many (myself included) of being located in Fort Lauderdale. More specifically, Hollywood. Great sound system, SICK lasers and lights and even the famous truck horn that Space proudly uses. The nly drawback, as Kelly had previously stated, was the parking. When I got in the area, there were ridiculous lines and amounts of traffic, so I parked my car in a little shopping center across the street and walked the rest of the way. When I got in with Eric, Koky, Candy and Callie, the place was already bumping to Edgar's set. George Acosta came on decks for a bit and played older stuff similar to the Shadow Lounge reunion, including Agnelli & Nelson - Everyday 2002 (vocal mix.) Felipe gave me the ID on that one. Then Edgar came back on and again the energy started pumping again. Great TA turnout. Damon, Art, Harold, Natalia, TranceWhore with Lex, the gorgeous Amy (who's not a TA but anyway) Lis, Anthony, Steve, Ivan, Leo, Leon, Carlos, Paulvandykism and I even got to meet NexusGroove. Edgar's tracks included Marcel Woods' NEW remix of Advanced and Dark Side of the Moon (Dogzilla Pure Filth remix). Gave Mel a call on her cell for that. ;) Can't remember what other tracks. I would still be there tonight, but due to circumstances beyond my control, I had to come home, but it was a great, great night. Pics will follow in the following post.

it was a good night overall. I first want to thank Edgar for all the hospitality. Edgar, I really can't thank you enough!!! Me, Paulvandykism, tranceman, and Damon got there early, too early in fact. All that walking around the shops and stuff definitely tired me out later on. Anyways, we get in, and they hadn't opened up the main room yet but we were lucky enough to walk in with EV. The place is sick. For you guys that kept telling us it was sick, wow you were so right. Sick lasers and a great venue imo. I left around 3 ish cuz my legs gave up on me and fatigue was setting in. Edgars opening set was great. It had lots of energy to it. As for GA, I didn't get to hear too much cuz we left around the time he came on. One thing I can say though, is that he never stops abusing the horn lol.
It was great seeing the usual ta's, Damon(early bird like me), Tranceman, DA, Relik, Arturo, Groove-E, and more. I think that was FallingMoon there but never got to meet her. pics later!!1 |

This was my first time going to the Seminole Hard Rock. The idea of me going happened late that night when friends and people were asking me to go somewhere.. Arturo asked me and that was a GO. Arrived at around 1:30 with two friends. I heard some hip hop from the outside so I got scared. First of all I have to say the Paradise and Casino is HUGE!.. Its on my backyard and Ive been missing this out. The girls oh MAN!! haha ok on to the club.
I walked in and that place is all the very big. The first person we see when we walk in is Tranceman.. I find you everywhere man !! haha great seen you. Looked for the TA"s with no success at first, until I happened to go dance to one of the corners where everyone was. Koky, Candy, Raul, Liz, Solace, Eric, and Damon on the booth. I also saw Natalia dancing and walking around the club she was very into it hehe.
THe music was great.. I saw part of EdgarV, most of GA, then Edgar again. Edgar was playing good stuff as always, and GA always hard, Im surprise to say that George Acosta actually played a great set in my opinion, lots of classics. Everyday, everytime, Cocaine, French Kiss, Cosmic Gate - The truth,among others. EdgarV , the other side of the moon, Fatboy Slims Shut da .. among other goodies which I cant seem to ID now.
