yea I met a few tas...:wtf:
there was one I didn't though. I was tlaking to a guy next to me and I asked if he ever went on TA, he said his friend did, but she never said anythign to me :wtf:
maybe she will pop in here. |

I heard from 6 people about this event at TiC.
Two of them who were together and post on TA said PvD was great; a third who was with them said he was OK.
Two others who went together and like PvD but don't post on TA said he sucked; a third who was with a friend said he wasn't very good.

Everyone did agree that it was packed beyond comfort...
Indeed, seeing it from the outside, Ice looks incredibly small :eek: I can't believe that they've been using that venue for events with headliners that draw such large crowds... How can anyone enjoy them 
So I guess I'm glad that I've never been to Ice and never will, since the building is set to be demolished within 3 months (to make room for new housing), according to the taxi driver who took me to the airport this morning :)
And all this time I thought that it was a club inside a big casino :haha: |

Ice is actually the best club EVER!!( sound, cyro,The VIBE, the pink poka dot area is the bomb!!)I'd have to say Ive had some amazing nights there!! I was even on TV!! ("The Club" when Armin and Ferry were there ) Don't knock it till you try it..but I guess you won't get to since it's gonna be demolished! OMG!! Where the Hell is everybody gonna go??? Are they rebuilding it somewhere else?? I cry for you guys in Vegas.. Ice is the best!! I hope I get to go there one more time before its gone!!:sadgreen: |

its not getting tore down in 3 months. It still has over a year last I heard. I think they are gonna put it in a casino :( plus I tink there is gonna be a crobar in vegas soon.
and I thought it would be more packed than it was, I think it was fuller the times armin has been there. |

I LOVE ICE. I agree with Kris it is the best club!
Too bad it is going to be gone soon for a casino! Not sure where GK is going to go next but I pray they bring that sound system.
I do have a Question... How did PVD react to the growd so close to him last night. From my experinces he seems to not to be into that sorta thing... |

he seemed fine from what I saw, he just did his thing and didn't mess up , that I could tell. |

Yeah, Paul actually smiled and winked at a lot of people up front. There was this one girl who tried to climb over the wall to the DJ booth, but security took care of the situation right away...then she tried again... :wtf:
There was a lady in the booth with PVD, behind him, who was singing all the words to the songs and encouraging the crowd. Wonder who she was, Queen of England, PVD's wife, club owner? :conf:
The dance floor was WAY too uncomfortable for the first hour, I actually got pushed and shoved plenty of times. Someone to my left even put his hand on my shoulder to move me away, so I just took his hand and placed it on the out-of-control couple to my left who knocked me into him in the first place. :haha:
Paul played a lot of music that I've never heard before during the first half of his set, was great to hear so many different songs that I'm not familiar with. I was really surprised that he went an extra hour, since he's never gone into OT at any other club I've seen him at.
imo, ICE should be torn down quickly as possible though...it's a small place that must have been over capacity (at least the main dance floor was), and tix were going for $100 at the door (glad I had my $40 pre-sale tix)!!! The cryo is phenomenal, but just take those machines and move them to someplace with a bigger dance floor! :D

frly :wtf: i remember you saying hi, but not this other person...i unno.
it was good show. And yes, they need to make ice bigger. It is getting tore down in 2007 so there is time left to go there. But the thing is, this was the last Godskitchen event, Ice won't be dealing with them anymore :(
There is always Empire, they have lots of promise, and if they could get a funkalicious one system like ice that place would be insane. |

ICE was great, but tooo packed. i wouldnt want to go get some drinks so i wouldnt loose my spot on the dancefloor. everything else was good.
PVD sete structure was amazing. thats what i thought. the buildup was almost perfect. i thought the dj before pvd went on too long, or maybe i was just being bothered by being pushed around.
PVD was really great. faarsheed went on, he started out great, but i thought he was messing around with the energy too much. just when the energy got high, it dropped for a few minutes. |
