question about gatecrasher

| okay so i am a little confused with this club. it apparently is one of the greatest in the world, and i have seen both pictures and video clips showing how awesome it just may be. my only problem is, at the website for the club in sheffield (gatecrasher one, right?) there is aboslutey no mention of a night involving trance. bubblegum friday's or whatver... WTF??!!!?!??!?!?!!! i watched a clip of a night from there, ing bohemian rhapsody, not even slightly REMIXED?!?!?! i would truely curl into a ball, and vomit myself to death if i were there, it looked awful. so does this place not offer trance, what made them famous, anymore??? can you only hear gatecrasher trance through the touring nights? and if so, do they go to clubs in london often, because it seems whenever i read anything about godskitchen or gatecrasher touring, its not in london.... |

Gatecrasher is dead, its now a chic urban club playing current sounds like RnB, DNB, Hip Hop and other rubbish
The trance arm is now called "crasher" and is putting events on with very crap DJ's
However...........
The rumour is that crasher will be monthly again at either sheffield or Leeds from the 18th of Feb. Just hope the lines are good.... |

agreed, you've still got Gods and another couple of weekly nights that play a fair bit of trance (Passion, Slinky, The Gallery) but there's not alot left :( |

I recently went to Crasher on Dec 27th in Sheffield... I had a good night, tho the classics that were played were few and far between... it certainly didn't have the spark of past events like Red & Black 1,2,3 ...
I still miss Crasher from the days were it wasn't a token event, before the name was 'sold' on... :( |

When I first heard that GC were opening a club in Leeds, I was more than a little excited - I thought it would provide me with, at least, one decent trance night a week. However, most nights are based on tacky house, or pure cheese for us students. :nervous:
I've only been twice, but each time, the club has been dead (such a waste, as it's gorgeous), and we've left before closing, to find somewhere else to go.
I don't think it'll see out 2006, to be honest. |

crasher is going monthly again this year in sheff
and theres rumour that theres gonna be a summer sound system this year aswell |

see that wouldn't surprise me as summer events seem good money spinners. Where were the old GCSSS held? |
