| this may or may not be a good idea, but whatever it's something to look into i guess... what about renting a hotel banquet room and having the dinner/party there... most hotels will do catering at a reasonable price... and we can set up some equipment so our fabulous ta dj's can spin |

Advance paying with Paypal is the way to go.. ;) |
paypal is horrid. use worldpay, no need to sign up and the process is quick as hell. |

I never heard of worldpay, but as long as we can get some "pay-in-advance" system in place then there shouldn't be any management drama whatsoever. |

| Yeah, the 2005 WMC TA dinner was a disaster. I'm not knocking mdamon and whoever else helped put it together. They got screwed from all sides. I think the renting out a hotel banquet room is a great idea. I'd be down for playing or bringing my dj equipment. |

The hotel banquet room seems like a great idea. in regards to paypal, ill just mail whoever is in charge a check or M.O. if thats easier. |

| Paypal it....I would love to do it and I think Prepaying would be much easier especially to secure a location Im guessing? Who knows we have a long time to sort out...ill try to help in any way just dont know Miami restaurants at all...we can do it in NYC:wtf: |

| I think prepaying is the way to go...otherwise people would not show up. I don't know how last years was but I know "The Knife" in the Grove is all you can eat Argentinian steak for like $22.00 and you get a bottle of wine per person! I went with my family (seven people)for my graduation and we drank 6-1/2 bottles!    |

| Call me crazy, but renting a hall during the conference may be a bit more expensive that usual. Here’s a thought, if you’re going to go through the trouble of renting space for this event, why not charge at the door, make it a big TA party and just have a simple buffet. Maybe, do at the tail end of the conference like Sunday |

i like kellys idea. if theres an alternative to eating such as rocking out to ta djs i'll be there. but if its only food and sitting down then hell no i wont go, i'd rather sleep.
but if this is does get worked out, paypal or some sort of advance payment should be used. |

| it'd be great for us po' folk if the TA dinner/party were to be the night before Ultra, so use out-of-towners can afford the trip and be able to go the dinner. |
