i'm still in awe, so i had to write a little more:

i remember walking through the double doors with the person in front of me saying "here we go" - much like my first time at boa. as a result i felt a bit of nostalgia as they swung open. i couldn't help but smile. in fact, i was smiling for the rest of the night. huge change from when i was standing in the lineup - "you look like you're gonna murder somebody", my friend told me.

chatted a bit in the back "lounge" area which is oh so perfect for socializing. c&c took the decks about an hour later and it was time to party! in all honesty, that was THE best tribal set i've EVER heard and by far the best i've heard c&c play. great classics, amazing new stuff. all smiles around me, all easy, dance circles!! - made for a killer vibe. this is now one of my favorite nights of all - and i will forever talk about it. perhaps that crazy pic of me says it all, lol

I still can't get over this past weekend. I see a trend starting of this party being one of the best events of the year, every year.

I got there on the first night at sometime around 4:00am. Nevio was playing some REALLY flaming tunes, which I was not enjoying at all, but the crowd seemed to be digging it. As a result, I went downstairs to the lounge. Like last year, the tunes in the lounge were MUCH better than the tunes upstairs. The lounge was even more appealing now that the system down there has been greatly improved.

LaFlèche hit the decks, and he was pretty good. He played some pretty wierd and sometimes a bit too experimental tunes, but he also played some real bangers that had the place going off. Apparently his mixing was a bit off, but to be honest, my memory was a bit hazy, and I wasn't really paying attention to the music that much. :p

The party and vibe on the first night was just incredible. Everyone was rocking out, and it was pandemonium everywhere. I was not expecting that many people at all, but how wrong I was.

I arrived on the second night at about 11:00pm. This is what I had been waiting for. The previous night, although I had fun, all I could think about was what Sean Miller and Chus & Ceballos had in for us. I think Sean greatly impressed everyone. I had high hopes for him, and he definately lived up to them. You can definately tell he's been touring with Lawler for the past little while. Although I enjoyed his set, I hope that that was his "headlining" style, because I enjoy his more sleazy "opener" style a lot more than what I heard. I hope he hasn't changed his "opener" style.

Then Chus & Ceballos hit the decks to throw down the craziest tribal set I've ever heard. It didn't take them long to get into it, and they played pretty steady all the way through. I really enjoy how Cus & Ceballos have changed their style. It is a lot dirtier and techier than it was last year. I remember thinking last year on a few occasions that they were getting a bit repetitive. I didn't think that at all this year. They played very well up until about 6am-7:30am which was pretty slow. People started to complain, but this is what I called "the calm before the storm". How right I was. From about 7:30am-10:00am or even later, they just got crazier and crazier. Tune of the party: Mastiksoul - "Evasive" (dropped by C&C). Find this tune, and this will give you a pretty idea of how C&C played.

I was very excited about this party, especially Chus & Ceballos. Considering how good last year was, I had very high expectations, and this party certainly surpassed them. I had a smile on my face the whole night. I can only remember a few parties which I danced as much as I danced on Sunday night. Every one of my friends except for one left, but I had to stay to the end. Thank you to everyone who was involved for an exceptional way to celebrate my birthday and New Year's Eve.

FFFFFAAAAAACCCCCKKKKKKK Awesome party indeed!!!!

Snuck in just before C & C started.... I mean really minutes before. Got into the doors in 2minutes, coat checked 2.5minutes...ok maybe 5 minutes, friends located 2.5 SECONDS later. :gsmile: :gsmile: :gsmile: the night was starting nicely indeed.

Within about 30 mins of C & C's set, I was one with the beat and just as sweaty as those stinky overweight, shirtless, gay men you see in the pics from that night. No word of a lie- that place stunk like !!!!!! but 1/2 hour later it didn't matter, i was on different plane all together. From 3am until 10.30am I got off the dancefloor prolly for two 10 minute breaks- yup! the music was THAT good. OMFG there were no lulls- their tracks just got better and better especially when it reached the peak IMO at "Work that/this?? "- ---- i died when that came on.
Lord!!!!!! I am contented indeed........ i have a flashback of literally losing it when that track came on. I remember looking over and seeing jon jon and twitch or was it jon twitching in a freaking trance- ---- bwahahahahahahaha. AWESOME indeed!! lol- all i did throughout c & c 's set was really squeal, hoot & holla
btw- WORK THIS is playing right now on win amp and I have major flashbacks :D :D :D :D
