My PC sucks. It always freezes when I
- play games
- use sound programs like Cubase or Adobe Audition
- have large copy or zip/unzip procedures
- play fullscreev videos
Surfing the internet and Microsoft Office works fine for hours...
The dealer where I bought checked it twice without success. But I guess he's a lazy bone. :whip:
Now I want to check things on my own?
Can anyone recommend me some test utilities? |

Does everything freeze or just the programs acting like there doing something and you can't be stuffed waiting and therefore assume it's frozen?
The two programs you mentioned that run fine probably run fine because they use stuff all of you system memory aka RAM.
What system do you have?
Like how much RAM, RAM Speed+ FSB, CPU Speed, Graphics card?
Plus down where the clock is in the bottom RH corner are there heaps of little icons in the system tray? Cos they use memory and you might not need them running all the time or even on start up.
Also if you hit CTRL + ALT + Delete and click on the processes tab you can see what stuff is using your RAM. |
