First off, Happy Birthday DUMONDEFAN.

I'm going to have to agree with Spad though, it seems as if 2002 is going to be all about tech-trance....which is good.....:D :D :D

2002 might be a uplifting year but not as in epic but more of progressive tunes.... the beat structure will be more uplifting to the crowd....rather then the large melodic or synth sequences..... epic is going to be less 2002 and i dont see it rising again as it did 99 - 2000 until 2003-04... ijust really think its about the deeper sound now ..more complex productions ....and less cheezy productions from producers ...i see many epic producers lean more toward progressive sounds even more then they did this year....just my predictions

yah as much as you guys may wish for uplifting.. just cuz armen says hes gonna produce it doesnt mean thats what its gonna be. but hey we all wouldn't mind that.

personally i'd like some nice complex beats with some trancy melodies.. yah as someone said above its all getting more complex, which is turn weeding out the retards with a synth and no musical backround

In general, 2002 will be more Techno/Electro oriented, that's for sure. Tech-house is where all the Progressive boys are heading right now, with tracks like Funk D'Void - Diabla and Octave One - Black Water topping year and month DJ lists. Even Dave Clarke offered a helping hand with Compass. And look at the hype behind acts like Felix Da Housecat and Zero 7.

On the other hand, Mauro Picotto (that seems to have played like 730 gigs in 2001 and is expected to release a new album this year) is in the big boys' league now and will help things along more trance-y techno (hopefully). Hard House acts like JFK, Paul Janes and BK are headed more Trance than Techno, too.

As for Trance.. 2002 will be an interesting year, that's for sure :D

DUMONDEFAN I dont know anything about ya other than you post a helluva lot. How exactly do you get the right to say " Ya I talked with Armin Van Buuren yesterday..."? Are you somehow in the industry, I was just curious.
