I just got this album today from the Tsunami record label. Anyone know why it plays in slower BPM then the version from the Right of Way album? Thanks.

I am just going to go ahead and assume Ferry sped it up for the album. If so, I am dissapointed.

All I know is that a bunch of releases from the Tsunami label (at least on 12") are recorded on almost, if not exactly the same BPM. Easy as to mix a few in a row.

Whether it's got anything to do with what you're saying, idunno.

Doesn't sound any different to me.

Interesting. I hit the 45BPM button on my tables and all is well. Its always on 33 so I didn't think of it. :)

What does that mean?

Yeah same thing kinda happened last week when I was playing a Zeppelin record. I come upstairs and my friend was like, "yeah I think this record is screwed up." It sounded too fast and I thought since it was in the basement forever it was just ed. Somehow, the 45BPM button was hit! Ugh... damnit! Haha! :D

:stongue:

There's a massive difference between 33 and 45rpm! It must have been playing at about 100BPM! :p

Yeah it was pretty funny. Me and my brother just looked at eachother with the "WTF" look. Turned the record over to Kyoto and the same thing. I was starting to get really frustrated and then I looked at the 45rpm and was like.... "I wonder..." Hahaha! But why make the record like that is my question?
mylespower
hahah that happened to me when i got my first turntables.

when i finaly figured out how to hook everything up and get sound... i threw on a remix of benassi's satisfaction

it was supposed to be played at 45 and was on 35 (i didn't know any better)

and my friend and i looked at each other for a second... "this is a really chilled mix".... "cool"

a couple days later i figured it out hahaha
