I've been mixing seriosly for about a year now , and I feel confident as a DJ , but i still feel that i have a lot to learn..
1st of all when im spinning at parties, and so on, I usually throw down mixes that i've practiced or records that i know sound good together. Lately i've been mixing off the top of my head , and for the most part i seem to carry on the two records for 2 long, until the transition sounds like Sh*t.. Should I just do what my instincts tell me to do and go with the flow , or is there a certain technique anyone can share to help me ? |

If you always use pre-practiced mixes, are you still having fun while mixing? The most fun in mixing, to me, is when I try something I've never done before and it works.
As long as you don't trainwreck very hard, the crowd will hardly notice. . |

LOL, yes pre-planned mixes suck after a while. After about the 3rd time playing it , you really cant get into your mix anymore and throw your hands up! Your right i need to stop trying to perfect all my freakin mixes and just go with it! thanks man! |
